Speaker Series Luncheon:
The President of the University of British Columbia, Dr. Martha Piper. Our first event of the year saw 51 people attend a delicious lunch at the Four Seasons Hotel. Of those, 15 were new or first time attendees at our event. Dr. Piper, as always, delivered an upbeat and interesting talk on "Research, Life Sciences and the New Creative Economy". The Inniskillen lucky draw was won by Nathan Leslie, General Manager of CES Partners. Our departing office volunteer Ms. Terri Cunningham was also presented by our President, Claude Morin with a bottle of Inniskillen Cabernet Franc white wine (sponsored by Ms. Geslyn Ngiam, Area Manager Asia at Vincor).

FEBRUARY 2004

Breakfast Seminar:Mr. Tim Egold, General Manager, Dale Carnegie Singapore . Our first breakfast of the year got off on a very positive and motivating note as 35 attendees (13 for the first time) learned "Leading and Motivating Teams During Turbulent Times " - improve morale and productivity in the face of terrorism, war, viral outbreak and recession. The lucky draw prize was won by Ms. Ailynn Seah, Director of Marketing for the Marina Mandarin Hotel. She received a bottle of Inniskillen Cabernet Franc white wine sponsored by Vincor. The buffet breakfast was, as always, expertly hosted by the American Club. Quick quiz can you recall the 8 points? Hint: start with a match...
