Today marked another great event in the CanCham Singapore calendar! We hosted our 35th Annual General Meeting followed by our Behind Closed Doors Business Leaders’ Briefing with H.E. Lynn McDonald, High Commissioner of Canada to Singapore, Canada in Singapore. Outgoing CanCham President, Rohan Belliappa, Country Manager, Canadian National Railway, passed on the baton to our CanCham Vice-President, David E. Wynne, CEO of Green Technology Asia. We thank Rohan for his service as President over the past two years and eagerly welcome David into the role, knowing he brings with him over 30 years of doing business in Asia!
High Commissioner McDonald opened the event with an in depth briefing on Canada-Singapore relations, followed by a trade update from Senior Trade Commissioner, Richard Dubuc. Newly appointed CanCham President, David Wynne moderated the discussion raising current issues suggested by CanCham Members, ranging from the ratification of the CUSMA to the trash talk in the Philippines. We thank H.E. Lynn McDonald and Richard Dubuc for taking the time to address each question.
