CanCham Singapore Hosts Indo-Pacific CanChams, Fostering Regional Business Collaboration





On the margins of the Canada in Asia Conferences – CIAC 2024, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore organized a remarkable dinner, bringing together representatives from 20 chambers across the Asia-Pacific region. This exclusive event, held in Singapore, served as a platform for networking, collaboration, and fostering stronger ties among the binational Canadian Chambers of Commerce across the Indo-Pacific region.

 

The gathering, which saw the participation of delegates from Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, China & Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and Singapore, served as a component of the Indo-Pacific Strategy discussions, where representatives convened to discuss regional cooperation and integration.

 

Hosted by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, president Randall Quinn and Executive Director Dorys Fierro, the event highlighted the chamber's commitment to facilitating dialogue and partnership in alignment with the broader goals of the Indo-Pacific Strategy. By bringing together chambers from various countries, the dinner provided an invaluable opportunity for participants to exchange insights, explore potential collaborations, and forge new connections.

 

By providing a platform for engagement and exchange, the event hosted by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore contributed to the strengthening of Canadian economic ties and the promotion of mutual prosperity across the Asia-Pacific region, aligning with the objectives of the Indo-Pacific Strategy framework.
